Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 7, 2026
FTPull ("the App") is developed by Ferran ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our macOS application. FTPull is exclusively available for macOS 13 (Ventura) or later, on Mac computers with Apple Silicon or Intel processors.
1. Information we collect
FTPull is designed with privacy as a core principle. We collect minimal information:
Information you provide: When you purchase FTPull, your payment is processed by Lemon Squeezy (lemonsqueezy.com), our payment processor, who also manages license key generation and validation. We receive your email address and purchase confirmation. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
FTP credentials: Your FTP server credentials (host, username, password) are stored locally on your Mac using UserDefaults or the macOS Keychain. These credentials are never transmitted to us or any third party. They are used solely to connect to your configured FTP servers.
Usage data: FTPull does not collect analytics, telemetry, usage statistics, or any behavioral data. The App operates entirely locally on your device.
2. Information we do NOT collect
- We do not track your usage of the App
- We do not collect file names, file contents, or transfer history
- We do not use cookies or tracking technologies
- We do not collect device identifiers
- We do not share any data with third parties for advertising
- We do not use analytics SDKs or crash reporting services
3. Data storage
All data generated by FTPull (configuration, logs, transfer history, statistics) is stored locally on your Mac. No data is transmitted to external servers. Your FTP credentials are stored in the macOS Keychain or UserDefaults on your device.
4. Third-party services
The only third-party service involved in your purchase is Lemon Squeezy (lemonsqueezy.com), our payment processor, who also manages license key generation and validation. Their privacy policy is available at lemonsqueezy.com/privacy. Lemon Squeezy may collect your email address, payment information, and IP address as necessary to process your purchase and validate your license.
5. macOS permissions
FTPull may request the following macOS permissions:
- Network access: Required to connect to your FTP/SFTP/FTPS servers
- File system access: Required to save downloaded files to your chosen local folder
- Notifications: Optional, used to alert you about completed downloads or errors
6. Data security
Since all data remains on your device, security is governed by your macOS security settings, including FileVault encryption, user account passwords, and Keychain protection. For SFTP and FTPS connections, data in transit is encrypted using industry-standard protocols.
7. Children's privacy
FTPull is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
9. Your rights
Since FTPull does not collect personal data beyond your purchase email, there is minimal data to manage. If you wish to:
- Delete your data: Simply uninstall FTPull from your Mac. All local data (settings, logs, history) will be removed.
- Access your data: All data is stored locally on your Mac and is accessible to you at all times.
- Request purchase data deletion: Contact us and we will delete your email from our records.
